Dropbox is a free service that allows you to store all of your documents, photos, and videos online. It helps you securely store files that are crucial to your business and life. You can store just about any type of file you can imagine, and it gives you a generous amount of storage space to keep your files for free. You can use the following tips on the web or mobile versions.
Here are 5 Tips on using Dropbox:
You can opt to share everything, specific folders or files with others. To share only specific folders or files, copy the contents into your Public folder. Each file that’s placed within this folder automatically gets its own unique website address. Share that URL with others, which grants them access to content, even if the people you want to share with do not currently use Dropbox.
#2. Upload Photos Automatically
When you log into Dropbox for the first time, you are given the opportunity to turn on the Save Your Photos To Dropbox option. All photos taken and saved within the Camera Roll folder on your mobile device will automatically be uploaded to the Camera Upload folder. This feature is similar to iCloud’s Photo Stream.
Each file stored in Dropbox has its own unique name. Click the star-shaped Favorites icon to create one. It also allows your file to be stored on your mobile device (and all other computers or devices linked to your Dropbox account) for easy offline access.
An ever-growing selection of third-party apps are available for your mobile device or phone. The data files created by any of these apps can be backed up, achieved, shared with others, or shared with your own computers and mobile devices from directly within the third-party apps. The official Dropbox app is not required.
#5. Passcode Lock
You can use Passcode Lock to prevent unauthorized people from picking up your mobile or tablet and accessing your Dropbox data. Once you do this, you’ll be prompted to manually enter your passcode each time you launch the app.
